Helen is a registered Clinical Social Worker, a Psychotherapist, a Relationship Enhancement Coach and a Specialised Addictions Counsellor, who graduated with Honours from the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa.

She has 35 years working experience in the field, which includes being DIRECTOR of SANCA in Durban (South African National Council for Alcohol and Drug Dependence).

Helen has worked as an ADDICTIONS COUNSELLOR at DOT’S PLOT and FOREST LAKE CLINIC, two registered Addictions Treatment Centres in Plettenberg Bay in the Western Cape of South Africa.

She is also the Co-founder and Director of OASIS Counselling Centre, a private registered In–patient Addiction Treatment Facility in Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape, South Africa.

She has practised as a CONSULTANT to the BETHESDA RECOVERY HOMES Addiction Treatment Centres and to the PATHWAYS PLETT and DRUG Treatment Centre in Plettenberg Bay.

Helen is the SUPERVISOR to the Professional Therapeutic Staff at OASIS RECOVERY CENTRE, a registered residential Treatment Centre in Plettenberg Bay.

Helen operates a busy ONLINE PRIVATE PRACTICE with INTERNATIONAL and LOCAL CLIENTS focusing on and including the following:

• WORKING WITH FAMILIES OR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS OF PEOPLE WHO SUFFER FROM ADDICTIVE BEHAVIOURS
